Audit, Grants, Executive Sessions on Saline County Commission Agenda

The 2021 financial audit, grants and updates are among the items on the Saline County Commission’s agenda for Tuesday.

About the meeting

The Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings can also be viewed on the Saline County YouTube channel:

Items on the agenda

Commissioners are due to hear from Randall Hofmeier with Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris in Hutchinson who is due to present the county’s audited financial statements for 2021.

Other items on the county’s agenda for Tuesday are as follows.

● Consider approving an application from Community Corrections to apply for a grant from the Safer and Healthier Saline County Grant Program.

●Consider approving the purchase of permanent easements along a pavement improvement and reinforced concrete crib replacement project on Falun Road, 0.5 mile east of Burma Road. In order to construct and maintain the project, additional road allowances will be required.

● Consider applying for the Department of Senior Services to accept a grant from the Salina Regional Health Foundation’s Community Health Investment Program (CHIP) in the amount of $5,000 to be used for the Senior Citizens’ Health Fair. elderly Friday.

●Consider applying for the Department of Senior Services to accept a Meals On Wheels America Discovery Grant in the amount of $5,000 to further expand the Meals On Wheels and Healthcare for Pets program.

● Consider awarding a bid to Re-View Windows for $232,875 to replace existing Senior Center exterior window frames with new wood materials, retain existing wood frames, and install new insulating glass units . The Center has 94 original windows that would be replaced. Re-View will retain the historic integrity of the building while providing insulating glass for better insulation.

● Consider requisitioning five copier/printers from Consolidated Printing for $21,916.64 for use in the health department.

●Listen to a 2023 allocation request from the Saline County Conservation District.

●Listen to County Administrator Phillip Smith-Hanes’ update

In addition, commissioners are to meet during the next three executive sessions.
