Lagos Public Service Commission advocates synergy between agencies

Chairman of the Lagos State Public Service Commission, Olubunmi Fabamwo pledged to work with the State Audit Service Commission to build trust in public sector processes.

The President made this promise while welcoming the newly appointed members of the Lagos State Auditing Service Commission (ASC) who were on a courtesy visit to the Public Service Commission.

She described the choice of members appointed by Governor Sanwo-olu to lead the CSA as highly commendable, noting that its President, Oluwatoyin Adegbuji-Onikoyi, had demonstrated a high level of competence in his previous positions as permanent secretary. .

She expressed confidence that all ASC members, who are thoroughbred professionals, would put their rich experience together and help achieve the THEMES agenda of the current administration through effective management of the auditor cadre.

Fabamwo, however, challenged ASC members to institutionalize a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes to promote transparency and accountability in all MDAs.

For her part, the Chairperson of the Audit Services Commission, Oluwatoyin Adegbuji-Onikoyi, said the purpose of the Commission members’ visit was to familiarize themselves with the processes of the Public Service Commission, being the oldest of all commissions with vast knowledge.

She added that the visit also allowed the Audit Services Commission to draw on the wealth of experience of the Civil Service Commission, particularly now that the new appointees would oversee the affairs of all auditors. of the state government.

The President affirmed that members are open to new ideas and suggestions that will help achieve a disciplined and highly motivated workforce committed to professionalism and the safety of public funds.
