Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (Tata Power Solar), one of India’s largest integrated solar companies and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has commissioned an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project of 66 MW for Vibrant Energy.

According to the press release, the project will produce 110,029 units of energy per year. The installation will lead to a reduction in carbon emissions of up to 9 lakh tonnes. The project spans 191 acres comprising 1,27,268 solar modules and was completed in a record nine months.

Tata Power Solar and Vibrant Energy share the vision of innovation-driven renewable energy solutions in the country. Tata Power Solar has developed a unique execution plan by deploying multiple teams to ensure smooth operation and commissioning of the project at all levels.

The team established a two-level pooling substation on the hilly terrain, and the hard rock terrain was grounded to ensure the structural stability of the entire EHV (extra high voltage) system.

The materials were unloaded directly at the work site to avoid delays due to multiple trips and to allow immediate regularization. Along with this, module insurance was done before commissioning.

Commenting on the commissioning of the project, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Power, said: “We view the commissioning of this major EPC project for Vibrant Energy as a significant achievement as it demonstrates our best project execution. We are sure that this project would set a new standard for industry collaboration and contribute to India’s clean energy goals. »

Commenting on the partnership, Ashish Khanna, President – Renewable Energy, Tata Power, said: “We are proud of the partnership with Vibrant Energy, it demonstrates industry’s confidence in us and our expertise in delivering projects in delays. It also reinforces Tata Power Solar’s commitment to leading India’s transition to a greener future through strategic approach and operational excellence.

With the commissioning of this project, the company’s total portfolio of large-scale solar projects reaches 9.7 GWp.

On Thursday morning, Tata Power Company was trading at Rs221.60 per share up 1.23% on BSE.
