Victoria’s Gaming Commission appoints new CEO

The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) has announced the appointment of Annette Kimmitt AM as Managing Director.

Kimmitt has over 37 years of professional and business experience, including as CEO and Managing Partner of Australia’s largest law firm, MinterEllison, the global growth markets leader at Ernst & Young and others. leadership roles at EY.

Kimmitt was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) on the Queen’s Birthday 2020 for her significant service to business and gender equality and inclusion.

VGCCC President Fran Thorn said Ms Kimmitt will bring significant experience and leadership skills to her role as CEO.

“His experience in the business world and his experience in auditing and risk management in particular will be a tremendous asset to our regulation of the gambling and alcohol industries and to ensuring harm minimization,” he said. she declared.

Thorn thanked VGCCC General Counsel and Executive Director, Regulatory Policy and Legal Services, Scott May, for the great job he has done as interim CEO since November last year.
